| Position Requirement: |
Responsibilities
- Set
up and optimize high-availability and clustering solutions
- Manage
vendor datasets (pricing, security, fund performance, economic)
- Performance
tuning for SQL Server stored procedures, functions, views, SSIS packages
and SSRS reports
- Participate
in enterprise wide security audits
- Ensure
SQL data assets are available for use by applications
- Assists
in the design of data models and physical databases, data dictionaries and
schemas
- Installs,
upgrades and tests database software
- Monitors
database environment
- Monitors
database growth and activities
- Manage development,
QA/UAT and production environments
Qualifications
- Bachelor's
degree in an IT field related to database administration
- A
minimum of five years of full-time SQL Server Database Administration
and/or Engineering experience
- Knowledge
and understanding of MSSQL High Availability and Disaster Recovery options
and where those technologies would apply to fill a requirement
- The
ability to troubleshoot and resolve database performance problems using
native monitoring tools
- Experience
with Windows Server and the proper disk configuration and layout to
support large, scalable SQL Server environments
- Basic knowledge of
Reporting Services and scale-out SSRS farm configurations
