Financial Advisory (FA) practice of Deloitte China provides strategic and financial advisory services to clients throughout all phases of the economic cycle. FA comprises several distinct but related global service lines whose shared principal objective is the creation and enhancement of shareholder and stakeholder value. 

Deloitte Forensic Services assist organizations in managing forensic issues and focus on outcomes that address reputation protection, asset recovery and prevention.

Work you'll do

• Apply statistical, econometric and financial expertise to translate structured and unstructured data into useful information
• Apply Deloitte’s tools and methodologies to respond to a discovery request
• Investigate and compiles case information to critique the adversary’s position and help build the client’s position
• Anticipate emerging threats through the use of market-leading technology to uncover possibilities that others may fail to find
• Identify, measure, and mitigate the impact of frauds and other business threats, using Deloitte’s advanced research and analytic capabilities
• Select appropriate methods for collecting and analyzing data, and develop informed recommendations to alleviate business concerns
• Apply finance knowledge to effectively diagnose a crisis situation and/or help stabilize a client’s business
• Build models that are sophisticated, robust, and easily interpreted to inform insights

We are looking for someone with

To be considered for this position, you must demonstrate skills and experience in the following areas: 

• Bachelor degree or about in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Management, Law or related disciplines
• Preferably with Certification of CICPA, HKCPA, CFE or relevant qualification 
• Fundamental knowledge in Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A), forensic, financial crime compliance, Anti Money Laundering (AML) advisory, and business intelligence
• Minimum one year of relevant industry experience in managing operations, in functions ranging from procurement, sales operations, manufacturing, supply chain management, and potentially support functions such as HR, IT and Finance
• Experience of projects related to M&A (such as divestiture or post-merger integration) or internal improvement projects will be a plus
• Ability to perform assisted review of artefacts already in existence (policy framework, technical specifications for systems and solutions etc.)
• Proficient at conducting fieldwork; this includes but is not limited to gathering of information, analysis of data and drafting of findings
• Excellent business sense and commercially aware, ideally with some level of financial accounting awareness
• Fluent in both spoken and written English and Chinese (Mandarin & Cantonese)
