Job purpose:

The F&B Training Manager will provide all supporting training programs for all restaurants team members in order to enable them to perform their duties more effectively and to ensure the utmost restaurant experience for the guests.

Duties and responsibilities
  • Monitor the on-going training activities in every restaurant and if needed provide training support.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of all F&B services, outlets, services/features and hours of operation
  • Conduct training and development programs for all team members on a regular basis
  • Update training materials to make these more relevant to the needs of the organization
  • Develop internal training competencies and establish training structure for on-the-job training that will support career development and advancement of team members
  • Coordinate with Human Resources in relation to administration of employee performance reviews and identify performance gaps that can be addressed by training
  • Provide and support cross-training and professional development opportunities
  • Maintain a monthly training calendar. Ensuring and providing ongoing feedback and follow-up on employee and management related challenges
  • Assist in the creation, implementation and facilitation of a Restaurant Training Plan.
  • Create and promote a quality-focused approach to service within the Food & Beverage Outlets
  • Continuously identify new ways of improving quality within the department
  • Review and analyze guest feedback through monthly comment reports and Logbooks, and other internal audit records
  • Train team members on how to can achieve Guest Satisfaction Index targets
  • Train team members on Departmental Operating Standards (SOP’s)
  • Work closely with the Restaurant Managers to identify and grow high potential line staff, supervisors and Assistant Managers
  • Assist outlet managers in their operations within peak times when needed
  • The ability to constantly monitor the staff’s appearance, attitude and degree of professionalism to insure their strict adherence to the company’s standards of quality service.
Qualifications:
  • BA Degree in Hospitality or a related field
  • Minimum 3 – 5 years’ experience in the luxury hospitality industry with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Excellent written/oral communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Have the ability to build trusting relationships with others
  • Creative, effective leader and team player, possessing a high degree of professionalism, sound human resources management capabilities, business acumen, energy and determination
  • Demonstrates leadership qualities
  • Projects positive attitude, and outgoing personality
  • Guest oriented
  • Should be able to work long hours with minimum supervision
  • Strong background in hospitality training
  • Computer literate with working knowledge of Excel, MS Word, Power Point.
  • A confident and dynamic public speaker, able to communicate and interact effectively with all levels of an organization
