| Job Description For General Manager / Restaurant Manager
Summary:
The General Manager (GM) / Restaurant Manager (RM) is an integral part of the Management Team. The GM / RM's objective is to achieve the targeted sales and profit goals and maintain the company's high standard in terms of product and service, and to ensure the proper supervision of staff and utilization of the management systems.
Major Responsibilities:
-To work closely with the restaurant chef to come up with menus and recipes for the restaurant.
-To provide training for all staffs.
-To set up the general feels of the restaurant concept.
-To maintain qualitative standards in terms of product, service and hygiene within the restaurant areas.
-To optimize profits through effective planning, cost and wastage control.
-To coach new employees and to provide career development for all staff through on-the-job training.
-To enforce motivational programmes in the restaurant.
-To communicate effectively on company's philosophy, goals and policies to all staff.
-To create a healthy human relation's environment in which all staff members are managed in a fair and respectful manner, and to encourage upward communication of ideas and areas of improvement.
-To be responsible for control of all company property including cash, products, equipment, fixtures and fittings.
Other Responsibilities:
-To ensure compliance with all recipes, procedures, product standards, condition and quality of all activities.
-To place food & beverage order in a cost-effective way in order to meet the operational needs.
-To recruit, screening and training of staff members.
-To ensure staff training activities within the restaurant is effective monitored, evaluated and completed.
-To arrange duty roster for all staff to ensure the sufficient manpower needs during the restaurant operation.
-To carry out administrative responsibilities such as daily sales report, payroll report, etc. on a timely basis.
-To complete other job duties pertinent to the restaurant's operation such as stock take, etc.
