Macau is the new frontier for the meetings and incentive marketplace (MICE). With over 50 hotels being planned that will add 38,246 hotel rooms to the market by 2010, Macau will be come a world-center for the MICE market. We are seeking to build our opening team with aggressive meetings industry professionals that wish to join us in this exciting opportunity. Director of Sales Details:
The Director of Sales will be a vital component to the success of Panache. Macau now has 19 hotels under construction, while 34 more are in the paperwork process for approval. Because of this, the director of sales will need to be continually aware of the changing region and the products that it has to offer. This will create endless learning opportunities in one of the most exciting regions of the world. The director of sales will:
*Promote the extremely fast growing and exciting region of Macau as a prime meeting destination in Asia.
*Experience many of the unique sales products that Macau has to offer.
*Solicit new clients and maintain long lasting relationships with them.
*Build a team to solicit target markets of Shanghai, Singapore and Hong Kong.
*Other responsibilities will include proposal and contract development, negotiating prices with vendors, and developing channel relationships with key hotel convention sales and catering staff.
Requirements:
- Fluent in Mandarin, Cantonese, and English
- 3-5 years meeting/hotel experience
- Held previous sales job with at least 2 years demonstrated sales success.
- Ideally holds at least a B.S. from credible hospitality program
Start Date: Immediately
Compensation: Guaranteed salary, significant equity stake in business, and competitive compensation package.
