Key Responsibilities

1. IFRS 17 Project Stewardship
   • Lead the actuarial implementation of the IFRS 17 project, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams (Finance, IT, Risk, etc.) to drive end-to-end project execution and ensure alignment with timelines and objectives.
2. Methodology & Policy Development
   • Conduct in-depth research, analysis, and interpretation of IFRS 17 insurance contract standards. Develop and document the overall methodology framework, including key assumptions, models, and governance processes.
3. Accounting & Reporting System Design
   • Partner with Finance to design a comprehensive accounting system, reporting framework, and disclosure protocols compliant with IFRS 17 and IFRS 9 requirements.
4. Impact Assessment & Asset Classification
   • Collaborate with Finance to quantify the联动 (joint) impact of IFRS 17 and IFRS 9, including stress testing and scenario analysis. Define optimal asset classification strategies under the new standards.
5. System Architecture & Data Integration
   • Work with IT and Finance to define the IFRS 17 system architecture, data interfaces, and output specifications. Ensure seamless integration with existing systems (e.g., core policy administration, financial reporting).
6. Testing & Quality Assurance
   • Oversee end-to-end data validation, system integration testing (SIT), and user acceptance testing (UAT) for all IFRS 17 modules. Address defects and refine processes to meet audit-ready standards.
7. Pilot & Go-Live Execution
   • Coordinate with stakeholders to conduct a full-scale pilot of the IFRS 17 system. Validate results, refine controls, and drive the system’s official launch.
8. Knowledge Management & Process Optimization
   • Document IFRS 17 policies, procedures, and controls. Continuously refine methodologies based on lessons learned, fostering a knowledge-sharing culture within the team.

Job Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Actuarial Science, Risk Management, Financial Mathematics, or a related field.
• Professional Qualifications:
  • Passed at least 5 actuarial exams from a recognized body (e.g., SOA/CAS, IFoA, Actuaries Institute Australia, or CAA China).
• Experience:
  • Minimum 4 years of practical experience in life insurance actuarial roles, with direct involvement in IFRS 17 implementation projects.
• Technical Expertise:
  • Deep understanding of life insurance products, regulatory frameworks, and IFRS 17/IFRS 9 requirements.
  • Proficiency in actuarial software (e.g., Prophet, Feiyan, CROSS) and financial modeling tools.
• Preferred Skills:
  • Programming proficiency (e.g., Excel VBA, SQL, Python) for automation and data analytics.
  • Experience with actuarial modeling and system integration projects.
• Soft Skills:
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills to navigate cross-functional collaborations.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and statistical abilities to drive data-driven decisions.
