Project Manager
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our project management team in Macau. The successful candidate will act as single point of contact for Client projects, reporting to head of the team, manage the respective area/s of the project and work proactively with team members from functional departments to make sure the works in the area/s are completing with top quality and within budget and time schedule. This position is based in Macau.
Summary of Position:
To manage and take responsibility of the day to day delivery of Retailer Coordination for assigned Retailers and ensure the effective delivery of the Retail Coordination, client liaison and supervision of other staff on the project. Provide support management to your Senior Retail Coordination Manager, and complete other tasks associated to the Retail Coordination as determined by the Senior Retail Coordination or Retail Coordination Director in charge of the Grand Canal Shoppes project.
Responsibilities:
· Overall Project Management for assigned retail units - for all key milestones and influences impacting on the project lifecycle.
· Manage, update and report on the project program.
· Provide critical analysis of retailer programs, devise and implement remedial action to maintain or restore program.
· Chair Retailer Briefing meetings with authority and take overall responsibility for minutes of meeting.
· Consult directly with the Design Manager or Assistant Design Manager to achieve the client brief and comply with the Retailer Handbook.
· Organize consultant and client design reviews as appropriate.
· Recommend and initiate value management sessions as appropriate.
· Understand the cost implications of the various design options and guide the outcome to meet the client brief.
· Consult with Design Manager or Assistant Design Manager and promote and drive innovative design solutions consistent with the client brief and objectives.
· Understand the authority approval process and predict and resolve the design issues necessary to achieve authority approvals.
· Ensure that appropriate and compliant documentation is submitted from Retailers in a timely manner for lodgment with Local government authorities.
· Maintain control of all contract requirements, including, RFI's, drawing control, nonconformance reports, authorities, defects, bank guarantees, insurances and meeting reports as required.
· Manage the updating of all required progress and schedule reports.
· Maintain progress monitoring reports on the Retailers progress on-site once in construction, and reports to the Retailer on the contractors on-site progress where necessary.
· Work with the Design Manager and Site Manager for final inspections-
· ldentify and plan for practical completion including the identification of all issues requiring finalization and receipt of all documentation.
Key Requirement:
We are looking for candidates with the following requirement and experience:
- Industry experience in one of the following: Interior Design, Quantity Surveying, Building, Fit-out or architecture
- Fit out project management experience ideally with a retail or hospitality focus – luxury brands are a plus.
- Ideally experience of working for a Project Management Consultancy, in a Project Management Consulting role or with a Design and Build contractor
- At least 6 years project management experience
- Tertiary education in a relevant field (preferred but not essential)
- Excellent written and spoken English and Chinese (Putonghua)
- Creative, initiative, responsible and proficient knowledge in project management to motivate the team Strong organizational capability, good communication and presentation skills.

- Macau ID card holder is preferred
- Immediate available is preferred
Candidates with less working experience would be considered as Assistant Project Manager.
